Law and Ethics: Lecture

The Catholic Church Crisis. Were professional codes of ethics followed by lawyers (prosecutors and defense) and reflective in the actions of the judge? Things to consider:

  • Legal issues
  • Ethical issues
  • Religious issues
  • Clinical issues

In many cases the ethical, legal and clinical issues usually follow each other depending on the specifics of the case.

Oct 22. Religion. Secular humanism. Being Good, part I: Threats to Ethics; part II: Some Ethical Issues.
Oct 29. Utilitarianism. Newborns and terminally ill. Being Good, part III: Foundations. Mid-term exam questions emailed late this day.
