Private International Law Summer Course at the Hague Academy of International Law The Joseph Story Society on the Conflict of Laws, Foreign and Domestic is offering a scholarship for one student to attend the renowned Private International Law Summer Course at the Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands. This two week course will take place from July 29 – August 16, 2013, and will cover topics ranging from international commercial arbitration to the protection of human rights and activities of transnational companies. The scholarship will cover tuition, travel, room, and board. Interested applicants should send a statement of interest (no more than one page in length), resume and transcript to Jan Qashat at qashat at law.harvard.edu, with the subject heading “PIL Summer Course Application” by March 1st at 5pm.
The Jack T. Litman Fellowship is currently accepting 1L applications for the summer program, which consists of both public defense work and a substantive research project with an HLS professor. Fellows will be awarded $1000, in addition to SPIF funding.
