Vote for the 2013 Gary Bellow Public Service Award Student and Alumnus/a Winners!

The Gary Bellow Public Service Award was created in 2001 in honor of Professor Gary Bellow.  Professor Bellow was the founder and former faculty director of Harvard Law School’s Clinical Programs.  Two awards are given annually by the student body of Harvard Law School to one HLS student and one HLS alumnus/a whose commitment to social justice and excellence in public interest work embody the spirit of Gary Bellow’s work and make us proud to be a part of the HLS community.

We are excited to announce the finalists for the 2012 Gary Bellow Public Service Award!  The student finalists are Crystal Redd (’13), Lara Berlin (JD’14 & MA, Law and Diplomacy’14), and Stephanie Davidson (’13).  The alumni finalists are Laurel Firestone (’04), Nisha Agarwal (’06), and Sarah Walzer (’86).  Fuller bios of our finalists, chosen from a pool of outstanding and deserving nominees, are provided in the survey below.  We extend our sincere thanks to all of those who participated: nominators, nominees, committee members, and enthusiastic members of the HLS community.

We encourage you to vote, and to encourage your friends to vote.  The polls will be open until Wednesday, March 27th, at 11:59 pm. To read more about the candidates and to vote, please visit https://harvard.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_eM8zJ7OezdG8zt3.  Each student is able to vote once for one student and one alumnus/a.  Please email garybellowpublicserviceaward@gmail.com with any questions.
