This year for Spring Break, HALA will be taking a group of students to Kenya! See below for details and to fill out an application form. This year’s trip looks to be even bigger and better, so get your applications in to ensure you can get a spot 🙂 Apply Online at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1LGr7zJd… This trip is open to all members of the Harvard Graduate community and is being organized as part of an effort to increase the awareness of Africa and African issues at Harvard. The trip will involve a meetings with legal, business and political leaders, visits to cultural and historical sites, and volunteer work with grassroots organizations. The planned dates are March 14- 23, 2014. While airfare will be subsidized, selected applicants will be expected (1) to pay a trip deposit of $250 by November 23 2013, (2) to cover all other trip costs, and (3) to actively participate in a committee that will raise funds to cover the costs of the trip. Please complete the form by Sunday, November 10, 2013, at 11:59 p.m (applications after the deadline will be added to a waitlist). Selected applicants will be receive notifications by email. The trip is organized by Harvard African Law Association, in partnership with Harvard Law and International Development, and the Africa Caucus at HKS.
