While digging around looking for a letter of recommendation I had
once
written for someone, I stumbled across a website I had written based on
the freelance coaching and editing I’d done after college for folks
applying to college, business school, and law school. Looking at it
now, I think the advice is pretty sound, and what’s more, a lot of it
is applicable to writing of any kind. Unfortunately, I never quite
finished the site (I stopped at “Revising”), but I decided to repost it
to the Anderkoo site: AdmissionCoach.
(A domain squatter has subsequently bought up “AdmissionCoach.com,” not
that I’m interested in paying to upkeep that name anyway).
The site never generated any business for me, but since I do still
ocassionally field questions about admissions essays, and the place at which I had served as resident pre-law tutor continues to link to the defunct site, I figured I’d put it up in case it actually helps someone out there.
(Good luck all you future members of the college class of 2010! Write like the wind!)
