A week ago yesterday Rachel and I completed the Sportshoe Center
Maine
Half Marathon. Coming in at 1:49:01 and 2:04:58, respectively, Rachel
and I weren’t exactly speed demons (we placed 425 and 834 out of 1296),
but I think I set a PR. While I can’t find my time in the San Francisco
Chronicle Half Marathon (it was screwed up in any event because I had
waited for my running partner to reach halfway rather than start at the
designated time), we hit similar times as in the 2003 Green Mountain Half Marathon (1:50:07 and 2:01:41) but were much slower than our combined relay times at the 2004 Mystic Places Marathon (3:46:34), which we had split bizarrely and so really doesn’t count.
Official race photos here and here.
We then spent a lovely week at Acadia National Park, but more on
that when photos come in — that’s right, we’re still running on 100%
analog film.
