Manipulation or persuasion?

My daughter really likes me to read outloud to her. Earlier this week, she said, “Mom, when you stop reading it hurts my tummy. When you start reading again, my tummy feels better. Its just the way my body is.”

I am flattered that she likes the sound of my voice, though I’m not really that worried about her stomach.
