2008/02/07 Proposed Agenda: Transparent Government with Silona Bonewald

Join Silona Bonewald for a discussion about transparent government. Maybe we can learn how EGovBarCamp last weekend went, too.

Silona Bonewald is visiting from Austin Texas. This gal has her hands full from founding the League of Technical Voters – a 501c3. The league is focused on motivating techies to be more involved with the political process. She is also working on the Transparent Federal Budget with Bill Bradley and Jimmy Wales. (And would love to talk to y’all more about that project.) She helped bring Maker Faire to Austin. She lobbied successfully on muni WiFi for Texas and is currently working on a project to bring wifi to Austin.

(PS–The time stamp on our weblog has been off by an hour. j supposedly fixed it.)

Brett, Erica, and j are working on lining up some great speakers and topics in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned! As always, if you have suggestions or people you can arrange to bring in, please do!
