Itinerary
Here is a short itinerary about where I’ll be and when I’ll be there. This is from our syllabus, so it doesn’t include travel or field trips that I take on my own, so there will be more visits than this!
June 25: Arrive in Barcelona
June 28: Tour of the gothic quarter of Barcelona
June 30: Day trip to Girona
July 1: Day trip to Montjuic (the old castle, 1911 yarn factory, buildings of the Universal Exhibition of 1929, and the Olympic Ring)
July 6 – 9: Weekend trip to Madrid (monuments, Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Huertas, Botin, Barrio de Salamanca, the Rastro)
July 14: Daytime walk through modernist Barcelona (Park Guel, Palau de la Musica, Hospital de Sant Pau, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, Casa Amatller, and more)
July 15: Day trip to Sitges and beach
July 20 – 23: Weekend trip to Madrid (more monuments and museums)
July 28: Trip to Fundacion Tapies
