Analyses of RIAA v. Students’ Non-Napster Services
This is a great analysis (via BoingBoing) of the contributory infringement claim. And here’s a (Google-cached,via bricoleur) technical analysis of Flatlan, a tool used in a different claim.
It looks more and more like these are just search engines for the university’s LAN. In that case, this smells of a DMCA safe harbor defense.
