Rolling Stones, good. Facebook, bad.

but I hate Facebook

I like Jim Moyta, and I like the Rolling Stones.  I like knowing that Jim likes the Stones, too; that’s cool.  But I really don’t like it that Pandora and Facebook are doing deals with my ‘social graph’ (stupid term of the moment) so that Jim’s Facebook profile shows up on my Pandora page.  And this, mind you, after I specifically (and repeatedly, via Facebook’s horrible mess of settings) told Facebook to not share any of my information, please.

This really creeped me out the first time I saw it and I can safely report that I haven’t gotten used to it yet.

(As has been widely noted by others, including Sal Darji and James Fallows.)
