Brief Friendly Chat
Once again the Simpsons come through. This is good:
Horst: Homer, could ve have a word with you?
Homer: No.
Horst: I must have phrased that badly.
My English is, how you say, inelegant.
I meant to say, may we have a brief friendly chat.
Homer [rising tone of panic]: No.
Horst: Once again, I have failed. [consults phrasebook]

Homer: [runs away]

There’s a definite high-pitched “Aaa!” before he runs away as well.

Delightful!
What was the context, can I ask? Who is this Horst? (Forgive my unfamiliarity with the neue canon)

This comes from a classic Simpsons episode, 3rd season. Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk, it’s called, but your hardcore Simpsons fan’ll know what you’re talking about if you just say “The Germans”.
The name of the episode is some sort of shoddy German for “Burns Sells the Plant” — for indeed it is a German consortium to whom he sells it.
Horst works for the consortium, and is chosen to speak to plant employees because he is the least threatening. In the quoted scene, he is calling Homer (in his capacity as safety inspector) into the office for a frank discussion. Homer has not spearheaded many safety initiatives and is terrified of going to this meeting.
When he does, it is occasion for his dismissal, but also for the “Land of Chocolate” daydream sequence, one of the Simpsons’ best flights of fancy ever. It is a very good episode.

Now you will have your new web site and you’re eager to start making some sales! However, how are you going to make gross sales if you happen to do not have high volumes of tourists to your website?
