Figures

Surfer dude stuns physicists with theory of everything. The new theory reported today in New Scientist has been laid out in an online paper entitled “An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything” by Lisi, who completed his doctorate in theoretical physics in 1999 at the University of California, San Diego.

  1. Well, now, this is all pretty interesting stuff, but I’m not convinced that the gravitational spin connection can be written using the six Clifford bivector generators, or that it’s quite “kosher” to redefine six real coefficients into the spatial rotation and temporal boost parts relating to the left and right-chiral parts of the spin connection. Seems like a stretch to me, but I’m willing to be proven wrong on that.

If indeed the E8 manifold twists and turns over spacetime well, then, that would be a beautiful thing to see and maybe Doc Searls can grab a snapshot of it on his next transatlantic flight.

  2. Almost proves that there is a small but finite probability I might actually accomplish something in life.

  3. […] An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything (thanks, Doc). […]
