Speaking of blogging and, um, stuff

    A little prescriptive for the umms, from your actor-has-been friend: when you feel an um coming on, pause and breathe (which means saying nothing, and that may be difficult :-).

    Your mouth needs to catch up to your mind in most cases, and umm acts as a bridge or filler while you think. Honestly, it um doesn’t take um long to break. Three days of conscious attention and you’ll knock it.

    Hey, Lisa. Good advice. I’ve tried it before, but maybe I’ll go for a three-day regime and see how it works out.
