That’s what I’d call the rush to the food spread in the hall at a conference.

This reminds me of a (meals included) three-day conference I presented at a few years back.
It was held at a fairly remote location, and most were w/o cars, so we were stuck with what we got. Breakfast was a bagel or donut and a cup of coffee, and dinner was hors doevres and beer-or-wine. The only meal of any substance was lunch — and you could hear a pin drop once lunch was served, as everybody was starving and busy feeding their faces!
