Flying Blind in a Microlight

Possibly inspired by Mike Newman, who last week set
a world blind driving speed record
(144 mph), equally
blind Miles Hilton-Barbe is preparing to become the first sightless person to
fly unassisted across the English Channel in a microlight plane.

The 54-year-old, who has been blind for 20 years, said: "If I can
show that flying a microlight is possible for a blind man, then maybe I
can inspire someone to take that first step into
the unknown to achieve their dreams."
