The impetus for this second aggregator (my main aggregator can be seen at All My News Streams) is that the Manila aggregator can only hold a limited number of items. I have now subscribed to so many streams that if I don’t check it every 3 or 4 hours, it overflows and I start losing older items out the bottom.
By creating specialized aggregators with a limited number of feeds, the items will remain on ice longer, and be there when I want to read them. My next de-aggravator is going to be subscribed only to the New York Times feeds I read, so hopefully it will cache at least a whole day’s articles for perusal at my convenience.
