Dutch Endorse Human-Pet Marriages

Apparently
the Dowbrigade is not the only wacko who believes that people
should be allowed to marry their pets. There is nothing more
loving, supportive and nonjudgmental than a pet, and who can deny
these are ideal qualities in a spouse.

Furthermore, we have certainly
known canines more intelligent than most of the people we interact
with on a day-to-day basis. So why not expand the definition of marriage
to include the union of a man and a woman, or a man and a man, or a
woman and a woman, or a man and his dog, or a woman and her cat, etc.  I
there is true love involved, who are we to stand in the way of marital
bliss?

Marryyourpet.com has been set up by Dominique Lesbirel, from Amsterdam,
who says a pet makes the perfect partner.

She says pets will give you comfort, rarely let you down and never
fight for the TV remote control.

"I wanted to make the love between a man and his pet official," she
said. "Now everyone can marry his cat, dog or snake."

"But don’t be too impulsive. A wedding certificate is not a guarantee
for a long and happy marriage. We aren’t responsible for the dog stealing
your steak for dinner or the cat damaging your best furniture.".
