Blogging is Not for Everyone

What do you say to a person who asks, "Why should I have
a blog? My friends/students/kids/boss told me I should have a blog so
I started one. I created it on the web and got to the point where it
told me ‘Congratulations! This is your first posting!’ Then I stared
at the screen and couldn’t thnk of anything to write. Then I had to go
to work.  Who cares?"

Is there any alternative to telling this person that their instincts
are correct, that nobody cares, and that they should never blog again?
