Things are happening too fast now. Yesterday, in a jet-lagged haze, we wrote a brilliant screed on the tenure of John Silber at BU, focusing largely on his abolition of the BU football team after their national championship season, but while looking for suitable art Dreamweaver crashed, and we lost the whole thing.
Long a believer in celestial signs even in cyber events, we took this as a sign to hang it up for a while and get some rest. Barring unforseen opportunities to jack in, our next posting should be from South America. There may be a slight delay as we get set up, but we will try to hit a Cyber-Cafe in Guayaquil tomorrow or the next day to update.
Then, when we are firmly ensconced on the beach, we will more fully develop our thoughts on Dr. Silber, our ongoing love/hate relaionship with our august employer, and numerous other topics of possible interest and importance.
