World Sex Survey – French Biggest Liars

Kinsey. For the true word on kinky sex around the world, go to the corporate
leader in the field. According to Durex, the global condom conglomerate,
more than 350,000 people from
41 countries
took part in the world’s largest ever
survey
of sexual attitudes and behavior. The results offer some shocking insights
into global sexual practices and preferences.

Or rather, the results offer some shocking insights
to the sexual practices of internet geeks, since it was performed
on an unrepresentative sampling of internet users via a web questionnaire.
Furthermore, as none of the numbers were actually verified, it more or
less measured how internet geeks in different countries described their
own sexual proclivities and activities, or maybe fantasies.

For example, the research confirmed France is now officially the sexiest
state with the French having sex 137 times a year – well above the global
average of 103 – with Greece and Hungary coming a close second and third.
This proves the French are the most prolific lovers, or at least liars,
on the planet.

Other tidbits from the titillating tirade:

• In average age of first sexual experience, Iceland was
  the most precocious, at 15.7 years. Surprisingly, Vietnam was
  the most chaste, with an average cherrypopping age of 19.8.

• Two European countries top the list of "Time spent on
  foreplay" at 22 minutes, at least half of which is probably spent removing
  all of the layers of clothing necessitated by their horrid climates. This
  theory is further supported by the fact that the country with the shortest
  prep time was steamy Thailand (11 minutes).

• In the high-buzz question of vibrator ownership, it is
  the Icelanders again who have the highest market penetration, so to
  speak, of this household device. Fully 52% of Icelandic respondents owned
  up to
  having a vibrator in the house. Only 6% of Thai’s agreed. What’s
  up with that? Don’t need ’em, for some reason or another.

• More than half of men globally (59%) would be willing
  to take the male contraceptive pill – but less than half of women would
  trust a man to take it responsibly. Brazilian men are most likely to
  use the male contraceptive pill (81%) – and a lot of them are already
  taking
  the female version.

Some countries are understandably so upset about the results
that they are practically incoherent.  From the China

"Durex 2004 Global Sex Survey showed the Chinese
have the most per capita sexual partners as 19.3, while with the most gloomy
sex ardour. Each Chinese has on average 19.3 partners toping the sex league
table where an worldwide average number is just 10.5, according to the
world’s biggest condom maker, Durex. It makes one doubt how the Chinese
possess so affluent partners while with world low-sex drive, ranked the
last seven in the world, also revealed the Durex survey."
