This project addresses the copyright issues surrounding the provision and use of digital materials. WGBH is proposing to conduct a research project outlining the issues around allowing educational and scholarly digital on-line access to materials in libraries and archives, with a particular focus on audiovisual materials. The project will suggest steps to be taken by libraries to allow this kind of access, risk assessment, and highlight potential needed changes in copyright policy.
