NOVEMBER

Situational Leadership
November 13, 2013, 1:30pm – 3pm
Jessica Soban, Assistant Dean and Chief Admissions Officer, Harvard Law School

Very often leadership development programs focus on the individual and not the relationship between the individual and those s/he leads. It is important for leaders to understand that within any given group, the needs of those they are leading will be very different. This means the approach to leading each individual will vary. Good leaders must come to understand that “one size fits all” does not apply to leadership.

In this session, Jessica Soban will lead a conversation on the topic of situational leadership. As a former manager in the consulting firm Bain and Company, Jessica was able to observe the importance of situational leadership, which ultimately led to her becoming a manager within the company.
