The EIP Policies & Procedures and Step-by-Step Guide are now available on the EIP website. These memos are required reading if you plan to participate in EIP. The Policies & Procedures page should be reviewed now as you begin thinking about EIP and again as EIP approaches. The Step-by-Step Guide is not intended to be read in one sitting, but rather it should be referenced throughout the many stages of EIP.

The Office of Career Services is open year round. Over the summer, employers will host recruiting events which are a great way to meet attorneys and learn about the law firms in advance of EIP. We strongly encourage you to consider attending events of interest to you. Review the section of the website on Reception Etiquette to ensure you put your best foot forward. Visit the Events section of CSM for a complete list of events, invitations for the receptions, and to sign up for those you wish to attend before the RSVP deadline.
In addition to typical summer associate positions, some firms offer scholarships for diverse students. In most cases, these opportunities involve a supplemental financial award to a position working as a summer associate at the law firm. Details about these and other opportunities can be found in the CSM Job Bank. Review the OCS webpage on Diversity Fellowships & Scholarships to learn more.
Each spring, OCS publishes a “Who Works Where” list detailing where rising 2Ls and 3Ls will be employed for the upcoming summer. Students use this information to learn from other students about their experiences at various organizations and to connect with classmates who will work in the same city. If you have not already please be sure to complete the Summer Employment Survey in CSM, which will take less than a minute of your time. If you prefer to not have your 2017 summer job listed in the “Who Works Where” list, which is available only to HLS students, please email OCS by Friday, April 21.
