I wonder if evolutionary theory provides that predators don’t become too successful so that they don’t exhaust their food supply. As in, wolves or hawks could converge to more mediocre eyesight than otherwise, if that better conserved the rodent population.

@ColinCrowell Interestingly, I think Clearview has represented that it is pivoting to an all-law enforcement (and national security?) model. Strange that it's taking steps to shape its business model even as there have been so few limits by the platforms on how it's compiling its database.
