About Us
The Harvard Black Law Students Association’s Social Justice Committee was founded in 2008 in order to address the problems that affect the Black Boston population in an extreme and disproportionate way.
The purpose of the HBLSA SJC is to:
(1) bring about an awareness of social justice concerns that impact the Black community at Harvard and in the surrounding Boston community,
(2) foster a meaningful alliance between HBLSA members and members of the wider Black community, and
(3) encourage BLSA members to feel a sense of personal commitment to life-long advocacy for social justice.
