Graflex PhotoRecord

Some version of this camera was used in Widener in the early days of employing photographic technology to reproduce library materials. This camera was eventually replaced by Kodak microflim cameras.

According to Wikipedia, “Harvard University Library was the first major institution to realize the potential of microfilm to preserved broadsheets printed on high-acid newsprint and it launched its ‘Foreign Newspaper Project’ to preserve such ephemeral publications in 1938.”
