Super cool. Imagine slideshows of library collections that run in public buildings, like the HU Information Office space, the Science Center, or the fancy-pants Harvard Club in NYC. Forward, back, zoom, show me the metadata, all via the waving of hands and poking the air with fingers.

That is really neat! Although unfortunately from what I’ve learned of the Leap Motion, it does not function very well in a public environment as they are actually too sensitive for their own good and they really only operate well in environments where there is only one person moving (and also knows how to operate it due to their over-sensitivity). The technology is really neat, but I’ve talked to a few people who have tried programming for them and it seems like the technology is just not quite there yet and the videos you see for them are a bit misleading as they never work that well in reality. But I think they will get there, and I love the idea!
