HLS Intramural Indoor Soccer/Futsal

Registration for the 2011-2012 season is now open. This year marks one notable change – the introduction of a Student Org league, which will enable journals, SPO’s and other clubs and societies to field a team without players having to abandon competitive teams or teams of friends which they may have joined in their 1L year. As with last year, free agent registration is also available – if you’d like to play but don’t have a team, we will do our best to match you with one.

Registration will remain open until Tuesday, October 25th at 5PM. Games will start on Saturday, October 29th and play will continue on Saturdays and Sundays until March. The recommended team size is between 6-10 players, only 4 players may be on the court at any given time.

A League – Open Registration
B League – No more than one A League player per team.
Student Org League – Team membership is limited to members of the student organization.

Registration for the 2010-2011 Indoor Soccer/Futsal season is now closed. Captains will be contacted later tonight with schedules and instructions. If you believe that you registered a team, but are not contacted within the next 24 hours with a schedule, please contact me immediately.

Online registration for the 2010-2011 Indoor/Futsal league is now open. Captains should begin forming their teams and complete the registration process by Wednesday, October 20th. The league is open only to HLS students and their significant others. The recommended team size is between 6-10 players, only 4 players may be on the court at any given time. Players may participate on teams in both the “A” and the “B” league, however, each “B” league team may contain no more than two “A” league players.

As a reminder, this year we are making an effort to match interested “free agents” with teams to ensure maximum participation. If you don’t have a team, complete the free agent registration and you will be matched with one.

The HLS Indoor Soccer league is comprised (depending upon registration and interest) of 20-25 teams of Law School Students playing a modified form of indoor soccer on weekends in the winter in Hemenway Gymnasium. There are two leagues (a competitive “A” league and a recreational “B” league) with “A” leage games occuring on Saturdays and “B” league games occuring on Sundays. All games take place between 10am and 4pm.

2010-2011 registration will open Monday, October 11th and remain open until Wednesday, October 20th. A one week pre-season will take place on the weekend of October 23-24, with competitive fixtures beginning on the weekend of October 30-31. Teams with flag football conflicts will be able to schedule around those games. The regular season will run into March, with exact legnth contingent upon registration and interest. The top eight teams from each league will advance to the playoffs.
