Cravath International Fellowships for Winter Term independent clinical or research writing projects

Are you planning to conduct an independent clinical or research/writing project, with an international focus, during Winter Term 2021? If so, we encourage you to apply for a Cravath International Fellowship, which offers a special opportunity to share your work at a virtual event with HLS alumni who are partners at the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, as well as other recognition.

In keeping with Harvard University’s current travel restrictions, you may conduct your project remotely, in the US, or wherever you are already residing, but the Winter Term activity must have a substantive international, foreign, or comparative element.

The Fellowship is open to 2Ls, 3Ls and LL.M. students. Please carefully review the information on our Cravath International Fellowship web page before beginning your Winter Term activity.

A few important notes:

  • Students applying for the Cravath International Fellowship should ensure that all Winter Term-related activities are in accordance with Harvard University’s travel restrictions.
  • Applications are due to International Legal Studies by Monday, February 15, 2021. Since Fellowships will be awarded based on the work actually undertaken rather than on proposals submitted in advance, you should not submit your application until after you have completed your three-week Winter Term project.
  • Students selected as Fellows who seek reimbursement for qualifying expenses must provide receipts.

We hope you will explore this unique opportunity. Please reach out to International Legal Studies at ils@law.harvard.edu with any questions.
