Info session: Spend a semester in Brazil

Since their founding, both FGV Direito SP in São Paulo and FGV Direito Rio in Rio de Janeiro have played an important role in the transformation of corporate law and legal studies in Brazil and in serving as interlocutors in judicial reform and policy-making. Professor Bottino is a full-time professor at FGV Direito Rio, where he is also the director of the Undergraduate Course of Law. ILS staff and an HLS student who has recently studied in Brazil will also be on hand to answer your questions.

Meet our incoming fall exchange students!

This fall, nine students from law schools abroad are studying or conducting research at HLS. At the same time, 11 HLS students will spend the fall semester abroad, in Brazil, China, France, Japan, Mexico and Switzerland, either at our exchange partner schools or through an independent semester abroad, and this year two HLS students will enroll in the Harvard Law School and University of Cambridge J.D./LL.M. Joint Degree Program in the United Kingdom.

We hope you’ll have a chance to meet these visiting students.

Study Abroad Coffee Hour

HLS has exchange programs with law schools around the world, and a joint degree program with the University of Cambridge, that offer students the opportunity to study abroad. What is the same, and what’s different, about legal education in other countries?  Where do students live?  What else should you know before you go?   Come meet students from these schools who are studying at HLS, and talk with them informally about these questions and more.

Representatives from our exchange partner schools in these countries will be on hand:

  • Brazil
  • France
  • South Africa
  • Switzerland
  • United Kingdom
