Poland

I had really mixed feelings about Poland.  Krakow was such a
charming city, as I have said before, and overall people were really
nice there.  Still not as nice as the U.S., but I was still really
impressed.  The place was full of fascinating history, and the
food was actually really damn good!  Especially the soups. 

Our friend Dan Goldberg remarked that you can’t go to Poland and just
“do the Jewish thing” in one day.  It is something that takes a
lot of time and reflection.  Sara and I were reminded of this
sentiment many times on our visit.
