Statistics
- Statistics: An Introduction using R — Helpful book companion website.
- Zelig — A more user-friendly interface for R. Developed by Gary King and others at Harvard.
- Judith Singer’s Intermediate Statistics and Applied Regression class page. A great resource for learning statistics from the ground up. Complete with problem sets and class videos.
Economics
- Microeconomic Theory Notes — from Nolan Miller and Chris Avery’s Ec2020 class. The notes cover the material in a typical first-year Ph.D. course in Micro theory, however there is more of an emphasis on intuition than on technical mathematical proofs.
- Topics in Applied Econometrics — Josh Angrist’s class page at MIT. Covers a lot of the cutting-edge econometrics used in program evaluation (e.g. instrumental variables, quantile regression, regression discontinuity, etc.). I’ve heard great things about this course.
