The invitation extended to Gujarat Chief Minister Modi to do a pride rally from New York to Los Angeles, first mentioned at the NR Gujarati Foundation conference in Ahmedabad, has led to protests in the US:



In a letter addressed to ‘Our Gujarati brethren’ and written by Ranjit Singh, a US-based publisher who brings out the monthly ‘The Better India’, has tracked the backdrop of the ‘Gaurav Yatra’ in Gujarat and said “Mr Modi is a visible icon of anti-pluralism and you shall discourage a Yatra that has anti-pluralism as its hidden message. But if you, like me, are a common man with no power to oppose, at least don’t join it”.
