Maya 7 is not a friend of Leopard

maya7_x5.png

I had tried to install Maya 7 on Leopard (10.5.3), but Maya said “no, no” to Leopard. When I looked up the custom install options, Maya_core 7.0 was grayed out, and showed the “skip” action. Googled the issue with “maya 7 leopard”, it seems Maya 7 and Leopard have many issues. Well, that means I have been forced to update Maya 2008 on Leopard or downgrade to Tiger for Maya 7.

Do you think Apple or Autodesk care the user as me?

I have had excellent help from the apple helpdesk, right up until my applecare warranty ran out, then , promptly, the power supply to my hard drive fried and i had all my families files and memories locked up in a computer that wouldnt turn on.
the guys who sold me my next mac helped big time
mac people seem pretty helpful.
btw i am still on tiger and like it enough to not feel the urgent need to upgrade, what will you be missing if you backed down ?
good luck,
bryan

I’m looking to get into macs myself. The design tools are much better; for example the guy who did the design for my site used a mac!
