Mel Arat has a master’s degree from Harvard University. He studied innovation management at MIT, blockchain technology at Stanford and Columbia University. He also studied entrepreneurship at New York University.
He delivered speeches at TEDx, LSE, Congress at Harvard, and in very different countries such as Turkey, Austria, Belgium, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Albania, and Japan.
As the author of 17 books in business and self-help, he has worked as a consultant, coach, and trainer since 1996.
He trained corporate employees in Management, Innovation, Communication, Teamwork, Leadership, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales Management in various industries from banking to manufacturing (Clients include Loreal, BP, Bridgestone, and DAIKIN).
He created and taught several personal growth courses for adults (each program is 12 weeks long), such as Extraordinary Life Skills, School of Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, Leadership by Movies, and Extraordinary Story Telling.
In Boston, he founded Startup Academy Cambridge and trained Startup founders at Harvard Innovation Lab.
He taught Management, Innovation, Communication, Teamwork, Leadership, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales Management courses at universities for almost 20 years. Recently he focused his research on blockchain technology and its implementations.
He lives in Houston, and he has one daughter and one son. His number one hobby is cycling, among his several hobbies such mountaineering and windsurfing. He founded Moonlight Book Club in 2005, and the club continues to meet. He is also the founder of the leadership paradigms club at Club House.
