Dear Mr. Graf, dear friends,
Last week Francesca continued reading to us a portion of the transcript of another judicial interrogation in the matter of the investigation into the death of the child Joseph Abdulla. The witness was a young boy from Sebnitz, Daniel Steiner. The transcript has the Dresden district court file number 270 Gs 3141/00 414 Js 53329/00; the interrogation was carried out on 21 November 2000, at ten o’clock in the morning.
Francesca continued with the reading from the point where she had ended last week:
In response to a question:
“My Mom had a change of heart. My mother said, go and be questioned before the court.”
In response to a question by Inspector Krebs as to whether the witness knew that Sven Kriedel was also here today:
“That guy’s the worst kind of customer. He’s known in Sebnitz. That guy’s always getting walloped by Mertens, because he talks crap – to everybody, everywhere.”
In response to a question by Inspector Krebs as to whether he’d talked about this matter to Sven Kriedel:
“No.”
In response to a question by district attorney Flockerzi as to whether there had been any exchange (of information) between the other people and the witness:
“I brought Toni home once and he started in on it and then the subject was finished for us. Something else came up.”
In response to a question by the judge as to whether the witness had a guilty conscience:
“Yes, and it’s the same with Toni.”
In response to a question by district attorney Flockerzi as to what kind of a guy Mertens is:
“He belongs to the right-wing extremist scene, but he really wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
In response to a question by the judge as to where Hauke and Richter stayed afterwards:
“They were in town. I saw them; they acted as if there was nothing. I hardly see them.”
In response to a question by the district attorney as to when the witness had contact with Rene May:
“Yes, yesterday. Right after the incident, I had no contact. I don’t know if Ronny May was at the swimming pool that day.”
In response to a question by the district attorney as to whether Ute Schneider was with the people who were laughing:
“Ute Schneider was at the kiosk. Later she went over to the group and was laughing with them.”
“Then,” Francesca said to us, “the transcript states, ‘The witness is released at 1:00 pm. The witness is brought back home.’ Under that are the signatures of district court judge Weidig, the court employee Koedel, and the witness Daniel Steiner.”

Sehr geehrter Herr Graf, sehr geehrte Freunde,
Francesca hat letzte Woche einen Teil eines Protokolls uns vorzulesen. Es war das Protokoll noch einer richterlichen Zeugenvernehmung in der Todesermittlugnssache des Kindes Joseph Abdulla, Geschäftszeichen des Amtsgerichts Dresden: 270 Gs 3141/00 414 Js 53329/00, am 21.11.2000 um 10.00 Uhr durchgeführt.
Sie fuhr mit dem Vorlesen fort, wo sie letzte Woche aufgehörte:
Auf Frage:
Meine Mutti bekommt neues Blut. Meine Mutter hatte gesagt, geh hin zu den Vernehmungen.
Auf Frage KHK Krebs, ob der Zeuge wusste, dass der Sven Kriedel heute auch hier ist:
Das ist ein übelster Kunde. Der ist in Sebnitz bekannt. Der bekommt immer Dresche von Mertens weil er überall Scheiße rum erzählt.
Auf Frage KHK Krebs, ob er sich mit dem Sven Kriedel über diese Sache unterhalten hat:
Nein.
Auf Frage StA Flockerzi, ob es unmittelbar nach dem Ereignis einen Austausch zwischen den anderen und dem Zeugen gab:
Den Toni habe ich mal nach Hause geschafft und da fing er an und dann war das Thema für uns beendet. Da kam etwas dazwischen.
Auf Frage der Richterin, ob der Zeuge ein schlechtes Gewissen hat:
Ja, auch beim Toni war das so.
Auf Frage des StA Flockerzi, was der Mertens für ein Typ ist:
Der Rechten Szene aber der würde nicht einmal einer Fliege etwas zuleide tun.
Auf Frage der Richterin, wo sich der Hauke und der Richter danach aufgehalten haben:
Die waren in der Stadt. Die habe ich gesehen, sie haben so getan, als ob nichts ist. Ich sehe sie kaum.
Auf Frage des StA, wann der Zeuge mit dem Rene May Kontakt hatte:
Ja, gestern. Unmittelbar nach dem Vorfall hatte ich keinen Kontakt. Ich weiß nicht, ob der Ronny May den Tag im Schwimmbad war.
Auf Frage des StA, ob die Ute Schneider mit bei den Lachern war:
Die Ute Schneider war an dem Kiosk. Später ist sie zu der Gruppe gegangen und hat auch mit gelacht.
„Dann,“ sagte uns Francesca, „steht es im Protokoll, ‚Der Zeuge wird um 13.00 Uhr entlassen. Der Zeuge wird zurück nach Hause gebracht.’ Darunter stehen die Unterschriften von der Richterin am Amtsgericht Weidig, der Justizangestellte Ködel und dem Zeugen Daniel Steiner.“
