We would be willing to represent a defendant willing to stand for all the other defendants as class representative. We have discussed this with eon, the dean of cyberspace.

Dear Mr. Camara,

As you, no doubt, already know, there is a quiet wave of racketeering-like civil actions filed by a Virginia law firm of Kurtz, Dunlap, Grubb, and Weaver (also known as US Copyright Group). The massive scale of this fishing net is horrifying. “Pay us or we will sue” in absence of any real evidence seems to be predatory. For people who are innocent, the threat of a lawsuit alone is enough to start borrowing money from friends to pay to make this go away, although who can be sure that the agreement they are signing is anything but an invitation to further shake-downs?

You are a famous person in cyberspace. Your willingness to work pro bono on the lawsuit opposite of RIAA is impressive. In the age when attorneys side with big companies at the expense of the average Joe, your work is uplifting, to say the least.

Are there real remedies for the innocent average Joe or is paying these scumbags $1,500 (or $2,500 – if one does not respond within 21 days from the receipt of the first settlement letter) all one can do? This seems like an impossible preposition, especially in a country that claims to be equitable and money- and color- blind.

Do you still do pro bono? Someone has to take a stand. Could this be you?

Why is national news silent on this? Why doesn’t New York Times publish something? Why is all this so quiet? With a reported 50,000 people being milled in this machine, why isn’t there a massive outcry? This is not justice, this is extortion!

Please talk to me, am I the only one outraged by this?

  • The USCG, US Copyright Group has stormed into the limelight with their massive campaign against piracy on the internet. But who are the USCG? Within this article we shall do some behind the scenes digging to find out who the USCG really are. A normal investigation of an online entity starts with some basics, which are not so easy with the USCG’s confused IT administration; hopefully not a reflection of their copyright management administration. The USCG are know by at least three different names, the USCG, SaveCinema.org and CopyrightSettlement.info. Both domain names CopyrightSettlement.info and SaveCinema.org, point to identical sites hosted on different servers. CopyrightSettlement is hosted on an Apache server at IP address 97.74.144.166, while SaveCinema.org is hosted on a Microsoft Windows IIS 6 server on IP address 64.202.189.170 both domain names are registered using an intermediatry privacy company called DomainsByProxy.com. In our experience such privacy is only used by organisations and people ho have something to hide, nevertheless, they are entitled to hide their true identity if they wish and nothing too sinister should be read into this. Although, it does make it far more difficult to discover any identity behind the USCG.

  • There is another downside to these type suits which apparently no one has thought of. That is these suits have targeted innocent persons then made innocent people pay.
When an innocent person is targeted and made to pay because they cannot defend against a billion dollar industry, they turn to the government for the protections promised in our constitution. But when government enforcers are asked to investigate the false court claims made against innocent person’s and ignore requests, then government itself has failed in it’s mission to protect and defend. When government fails to protect people with out the means to defend from false claims, then government becomes the accomplice and assists in the enforcement of innocent people having to pay. In my own case, where government has refused to defend against false and fraudulent claims, I have no choice but to subordinate government till government comes back to do there job as our constitution requires the innocent to be protected. Passive resistance such as voting against justice as a juror, looking the other way when a crime occurs are the only way I know of to force government to recognize that innocent people are being made to pay settlements. Government needs to recognize that copyright enforcement as a private enterprise can make mistakes k who they decide to sue. That those mistakes will cause decline of our justice system as the more innocent people are made to pay, the more our justice system will loose it’s creditability.

  • Cheer up. On the bright side, your spamigation complaint has now made the first page of Google, seen by whoever looks for Dunlap, Grubb and Weaver. I wonder what that will do to their business.

  • This is very interesting as this could ruin our freedom and right to free speech and other rights as an American. Read this interesting article from an employee at Dunlap, Grubb & Weaver that exposes it as an actual scam:

    http://reportyourcomplaint.com/us-copyright-group-lawsuit-scam-please-read-this-before-you-pay-dunlap-grubb-weaver-anything/

This really clears things up and definitely tells you what one can do to make this whole thing come to an end fast! Definitely a very interesting piece to say the least.
