About

Welcome to PIL!

This website is a free resource aimed at students of Public International Law. You can expect to find regular content that aligns with the core topics of most undergraduate (and some postgraduate… but see below) PIL courses, and some extras in between. This is meant to be a space where anyone can learn, interact with other PIL students, ask questions, post thoughts and theories, and download resources to complement their existing PIL course materials. If you have any questions or comments, please get in touch!

Postgraduates… a word, s’il vous plaît!

Postgraduate students are more than welcome to use this website – stay as long as you like! – but please bear in mind that the majority of content is aimed at undergraduates, so some of it may not be as in depth or as complex as your course requires. By all means use this to refresh some of your long lost undergraduate knowledge, but make sure your postgraduate required reading takes priority!

A quick ‘thank you’…

This website was created using ‘Harvard Blogs’, a free service for the Harvard community that is generously sponsored by Harvard Law School (of which I am proud to be an alumna) and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. Thanks for the support! If you’re part of the Harvard community looking to make something similar, visit their website to get set up.

Oh, and a final word to round things off…

As you can probably tell by now, I like manners. I’m all about pleases and thank yous and making sure everyone is treated with patience and respect. If you decide to comment on posts – and I hope you do! – then please do so with that in mind. Remember that this is a learning community where everyone is welcome no matter what their background, which school they attend, or whether they have been a PIL student for an hour or a year. Anyone found to be anything less than welcoming and respectful faces website deportation.

Enjoy!
