About

Hello, and thanks for visiting my blog! I created this space for #T509Massive, a course at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), in order to explore the realm of online learning environments. Thanks to Dr. Reich for facilitating my learning by pushing me into the zone of proximal development!

I joined the Technology, Innovation and Education (TIE) program at HGSE from the University of Calgary, where I completed medical school, core Internal Medicine residency, and an Internal Medicine Fellowship program. My interests are medical education and patient education, both vast yet dynamic fields in which I have limited experience.

I decided on an Ed.M. because I see my role as a physician as that of a teacher. I educate patients daily on their disease process, and help them navigate their illness experience within the realm of what they determine to be acceptable treatment decisions.

I look forward to writing about my experiences during this whirlwind year in Cambridge!
