Article Summary: “Discipline of Innovation” by Drucker

This is a summary I have written for Drucker’s article “Discipline of Innovation”, originally as part of my Harvard Business Transformation class assignment.

Leaders need to ensure that the scarce resources such as money and people are the put where they do the most good. Undiagnosed problems may hinder performance and it is the leader’s responsibility to define a mission and a clear definition of results. Efforts that don’t get results should be abandoned. Instead, leaders should focus on real opportunities that can make real differences, and conscientiously reassess the results.
