SCIENTOLOGY

What Is Scientology?

Welcome to my new blog! This is my first post about Scientology.

Scientology has always been a major part of my life. It has helped me in everything I do and has made me a more able and productive person. The wealth of knowledge and practical applications in Scientology is absolutely astounding. I am forever grateful to L. Ron Hubbard for developing Scientology and giving this incredible gift to the world. The links below are some of my favorite Scientology web resources. If you have any questions about Scientology, feel free to email me at jfcollin@fas.harvard.edu.

What Is Scientology?
This is a great site that explain the basics of Scientology and what Scientologists are doing around the world. Check out the catechism for answers to common questions about the religion.

L. Ron Hubbard
This site has a great deal of information about the life of L. Ron Hubbard. It astouds me that he was able to do all he did in just one lifetime. My admiration for this man is enormous!

Scientology Volunteer Ministers
This is the site of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers. I have worked as a Volunteer Minister quite a bit and it has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. Scientology Volunteer Ministers played a key part in the relief efforts for 9/11, the Asian Tsunami, the Katrina Hurricane and many of the diasters that have struck the world in recent times. Their sole purpose is to help those in need.

The Creed Of Scientology
This site contains the creed of the Scientology religion. This is a very important part of the Church.

The following sites provide more helpful information about Scientology and what it’s doing in the world:

www.scientologyhandbook.org
www.bonafidescientology.org

I hope you enjoy these links. Scientology has been the greatest influence in my life and it has helped me more than I could have imagined was possible. That’s why it hurts to see people defame it and invent stories about it. So, hopefully this will set straight any misconceptions you may have had!

Much love,
Jimmy

Nice blog! I’m a Scientologist as well, and have my own blog / bookmark page up at Kaboodle.com, which has a number of my favourite sites. I grew up a Scientologist, and actually lived 4 years in the Boston area, going to school in Cambridge. Harvard Square was my stop on the T, so I’m quite familiar with the place.

In any case, just found your blog in looking for something else, and wanted to leave a note. Nicely done, and I’d be interested in your posting anything else of interest on Scientology in the future!

Hi Jimmy: I am also a Scientologist. I live in San Diego and just recently visited Harvard since a very close friend of mine is going to the extension school at Harvard. I was wondering if you know if the Harvard Divinity school has a view point about Scientology. It will be nice to know!. My friend at Harvard is not too religious and unfortunately only knows little about Scientology and it is not too interested in it. However if there is good PR from Harvard about Scientology I think he will be more interested.
Great blog! It is nice to read good PR about Scientology

scientology isn’t a cult of any sort…it isn’t really anything…not even a true “religion”…it’s nothing more than a social club

I agree Truth Church Christian, it’s not a cult of any kind, I believe Jorge is just uninformed.
