About the Author

Alan Sien Wei Hshieh is a software developer, user interface engineer, prototyper, web/graphical designer, and musician living in Cupertino, California, in the United States. Hshieh has particular interests in Christian missions, East Asian studies, mobile devices, social media, and cuisine. Hshieh develops mobile phones and tablets at Motorola Mobility, conducted research in HCI at Harvard University in Massachusetts, and studied Symbolic Systems with a concentration of computer systems interaction in medical devices and a research focus of East Asian interface interaction and communication under Jeff Shrager and Clifford Nass at Stanford University in California.
