Quick design idea: iPad split keyboard

Yes, please.  (care of Weightshift’s Scott Robbin)

All tablets need this mode. I don’t know why the keyboard layout designed for hands-free elbows-up typing is used with little modification elsewhere in life. Anything that preserves the relative relation of the keys should be easily learnable.

I think this is a great idea. Typing just using the thumbs would be so much faster. All iPads should have this as an option.
