Weekend Update

Well, I got my haircut this weekend. I think it’s shorter than it’s been since I was a kid and my Mom made us get wiffles (that’s what we call them here…though I’ve said that before and people had no idea what I was talking about). Anyway, here it is:

I think I look very German….like I should be hosting Sprockets, or something.

Of course, it’s Monday so we all know what that means – it’s time for a Popularity Contest update. Once again, the evil Jose managed to stick around (though, he was the second to least popular). I’m hoping he’ll be gone this Saturday. I simply can’t see how he keeps being saved. My best guess is that the comments he makes to the camera are not known by the town’s actual residents. Oh, and since Rory and Deb Sue* occasionally check out my blog, I’m hoping they can respond to the allegation that Rory was running her mouth and talking bad about the townspeople! This definitely wasn’t on camera, it came out of nowhere, and the show didn’t address it any further. Was this a lie to keep Jose on the show? I’m so curious. They just dropped the bomb on us and moved on.

Anway, I just realized this morning that I will not be able to watch next Saturday’s episode since I’ll be in Chicago. I may need to have some friend’s TiVo it for me! We’re down to the final three so I don’t want to miss anything. I’m just glad my reality TV fix will be able to continue because Big Brother starts around the last week of June.

OH! And I made a huge dent in reading my mountains of magazines this weekend. I figure I’ll bring a bunch with me on the plane on Saturday.

*Debbie Sue! You’re quite the aggressive egg-toss partner! Poor Ali couldn’t keep up with your machine gun tossing skills!

    Q’est-ce que sais, “Wiffle”?

Yeah, I guess wiffle is a regional thing. It’s just buzzing it one length all around. Is that called a crew-cut elsewhere?

I think it’s also called a “Flowbie” or “Suck-n-Cut”. ;-P Teasing – it looks good!! The IML boyz will be wantonly tearing out their chest hair.

Karl, Happy birthday and “waaay cute” on your new look! Glad you’re still watching the show…winding down…quickly..our little town has already seen a bit of “tourism” from it….I have just today ordered T-shirts to sell…may just send you one. As for the Rory/Jason issue…well, perhaps it might be better for HER to speak to it..than me. I didn’t take/have the time to get to know her as I was FULLY immersed in another “camp” as will reveal itself towards the end. ANd about the egg contest…ALi was in no WAY wanting to endure the rest of the contest. No, we didn’t “throw” it, but losing wasn’t such a bad option to her. Me….the EVER competitive spirit. ….and one more thing, Karl, since i have just recently been reading your blogs…i don’t know the story behind Matt. Was it just a break-up? Although devasting, hope nothing worse. Deborah Sue

oops…i didn’t answer your question about the lady saying that about Rory. You know, I think Rory, being from NJ, just wasn’t used to the conservative behaviors and language that is in Vega. What was normal talk to her, was a bit “over the top” to many residents. Again, she would be her BEST spokeperson….I am probably too @#&*%$#@ set in my opinion. LOL

Yikes – I think Vega residents would run me out of town before I crossed city limits with liberal use of 4-letter words!
