I Love a Good Debate

And yesterday’s post managed to create just that. I think that may be the most traffic this blog has seen in ages. I should be controversial more often.

Coke or Pepsi? Discuss.

ugh. Moxie. My dad loves that stuff (tastes like medicine to me).

I don’t drink soda…so I’d have to say San Pellegrino.

    “I don’t drink soda…wah wah wah”

Coke, Pepsi, either or. With ice.

But in the realm of diet soda? Diet Pepsi reigns supreme. At least… Diet Pepsi with Lime. Or Lemon. Plain Diet Pepsi tastes like dish soap smells. Gak. And Diet Coke is revolting. Pepsi had a good thing going with Pepsi One but then they “Improved” the flavor and now it tastes like cough medicine and it’s nasty.

Champagne. I grew up some time ago.

I loved having AinG as an open forum for passionate debate on strongly held opinions with not a hint of insult or personal attack anywhere. My compliments to all involved, and my thanks to our host, Karl.

It doesn’t make any difference. They both have sugar and caffeine!

I’m one of those people that does not drink soda often. Between Coke and Pepsi it’s always ice cold Coca Cola for me. My preffered fizzy drink is lemon or lime seltzer though.

lemon or lime seltzer? Ed, are you sure you’re straight?

Good one Karl…I’m sure, but I do hold a special place in my heart for you ha ha ha… It’s seltzer, not a white wine spritzer.. I dont like the sugar in soda for some weird reason it makes my teeth feel like they’re coated in plaque.

I hear you. I’ve not had soda in 5 years or so. I hate the feeling after drinking. My teeth felt “bumpy”. Hard to explain, but not pleasant (and the after taste…and after-breath…aren’t much to write home about, either.

    Dave In Chicago, hahahahahahahaha!

I was always a Diet Coke drinker. But I hate to pay 1.50 for a 2Liter bottle and it hasn’t been on sale in months, literally. Diet Pepsi Vanila/cherry/lime, etc wins at .89.

That said, my favorite is Diet Coke with Splenda instead of that cancer causing sweetener.

As for the bumpy teeth feeling, I don’t get it with soda, but I always describe it as feeling like I have a sweater on my teeth. Yuck.

Thought y’all might enjoy that. ;-P

I hate pop (as we call it in the midwest). I stopped drinking it in college, and immediately lost 10 pounds. This was regular, of course, and I didn’t even drink that much, but DA-YUM, that’s a lot of calories.

If I want something refreshing these days, I’ll have a bit of Trader Joe’s Italian Lemon Sodas. Way yummy & real zitrus tayste.

Then again, I’m just a big ‘ol juicy feggeleh.

….what the hell is a feggeleh?
