I’ve Been Bad

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. It has been three days since my last (blog) confession).

You know you lead a boring live when three days pass by and you still can’t think of anything worth blogging about. The new cable/internet provider is working out well. The weather has sucked and makes me want relocate…immediately.

And that little fact shocks me. For years I would complain about the heat and humidity of summer and prefer winters. Seriously…even when winter came around I’d tell people that I prefer the cold over the heat. But in recent years, my aging body seems to disagree with the New England climate more and more.

Even more frustrating is that it seems I’m more prone to slipping on ice than I used to be. I’m not sure if it’s a matter of this being a harsher winter than most, or whether it’s because my 5+ year old work boots have lost their traction, or (most likely), because of a decrease in balance as I get older. I’ve not fallen yet…but walking around just feels more risky than it used to.

Ugh – I’ve become my father.

Good Lord Karl, you sound like you are hitting 100! I’m older than you and I don’t talk like this. LOL Get some new work boots with traction and you will be fine Old Man. 🙂

I’m with Melody – I’m ALSO older than you, and I took not one but THREE falls on the ice in my driveway while trying to shovel in the storm before this one…it’s a bad winter…I got up, dusted myself off, and all was fine. I think the trouble is that both you and I now live in semi-suburban urban environments – not like the densely urban North End or South End we used to live in, where, ok, at worst, it was a pain digging out one’s car….but the landlord handled the rest…now I AM the landlord (and I assume you and Randy have similar responsibilities), and a bunch of dense houses on a busyish street just don’t look so pretty after the plows go through…if you lived in rural Vermont or back right downtown, I kinda expect you’d stilll like winter more… Don’t give up on being a proper New Englander! No more Florida pod-people, lol!

(but, yeah…watch out and get new boots…you might break a hip and it’d be ALL over )

Randy has taken two spills in our driveway already this winter. Actually, I can’t recall having ever fallen on ice in my entire life. That said, I’ve slipped (and caught myself). At least I’ve got a somewhat bubbly ass to bounce on.

All I can say is LOL! grandpa. That said, yesterday/this morning was awful. I stayed w/ EK in Medford and never walked through such horrible crap. My boots are still not dry!

This weather sucks and I’m ready to leave. Perhaps we can exchange husbands and get the hell out of here……

First off, I am not living with Richard, Karls dad. Karl… you better buck up!

Jeff who said I want to stay either? I hate this weather… If only I didnt have so many friends like you here keeping me back 🙂
Why dont we all just sell our houses and move to better climates?
But where is that and what can we afford.
its funny though that in the grand scheme of things, this is a warm nice climate already for Zach who comes from the UP of Michigan!
