US Supreme Court gives EPA authority to control emissions

The Supreme Court today gave the EPA the authority to regulate carbon dioxide emissions and other greenhouse gases from automobiles.  The Court stated that the Clean Air Act gives the EPA the power to regulates these emissions.  This is an important step in putting some basic controls on what we emit into our atmosphere from our cars.  For more information on the court decision, excite.com provides a good overview of the questions the court was asked to review and the disenting voters.

    I can’t believe there aren’t any controls at the moment – are we too late??
