Clutch Shortage

posted in Pretty, Shiny Things |

Realized today that I just don’t have enough clutches. For all my purses, I only have one clutch. Sure, I rarely use the one I have, but that’s just because it’s a beautiful bronzy snake skin print that isn’t horribly practical. I’m CONVINCED that if I had a more subdued one, I’d use it all the time, so I’ve taken the plunge and bought a second clutch for my collection.

Now to be invited to clutch appropriate occasions. Also need to go to the beach and on more picnics so I can use my new purse. Hmm, I think what I really need is to acquire an appropriately fun lifestyle to match my purse collection. Where does one go to buy one of those? And can I get it in a size that’ll fit the three hours a week that I’m not working or sleeping? =)

I approve of the clutch… very cute; not that you need my
approval, but I’m giving it nonetheless. (isn’t nonetheless an
interesting word; I had to look it up to make sure it really does
exist. At what point in our language development did we decide that these three words would be much better as one word?! Those two economized spaces have been so valuable in my word budget!) So did you notice the shoes that they so cleverly showed near the puse, very cute too!

Yay!! Comment from HBo!! *Happy dance* =) Yes, I definitely noticed the cute wedges next to the purse. Sooo cute. If I hadn’t already caved and bought a pair of wedges last night (teal suede and on sale!), I may have considered them – although I think the matching purse/shoe combo might be too much. And I love your tangent on nonetheless – I wrote a post a couple of months ago pondering the peculiarities of the English language. That would have fit in perfectly!

Phew, such work to make it into the comments, but well worth it! My image of you doing a virtual happy dance (vhd) in itself is my reward. (vhd-reminiscent of the 90’s dancing baby with much less disturbance to my psyche! A miniture Y dancing in the corner of my screen with her new cute wedges and fabulous clutch; it makes me want to join you in the happy dance, except I am woefully underdressed!)

HBo – I am imagining us doing the happy dance together. The next time I see you, I will show you what the happy dance entails. And I’m sure you are dressed wonderfully and totally appropriately for happy dancing! =) Sorry you can’t come to tea tomorrow! Vitamin G – Thank you – now my clutch purchase is totally justified! And yes, something will come up. Hmmm, I AM going bowling Sunday. Are clutches appropriate for bowling? =)

I’ll miss you guys at tea, but on the upside, tea would be a great clutch opp. Thought I’d share how my google mail tailors its advertisements to my email: http://www.2basnob.com/tea-home.html

    Have fun tomorrow!

Unfortunately, the clutch hasn’t arrived yet, so I wasn’t able to test it out. Btw, no one told me you can lose a nail bowling! I chipped my thumbnail mid-way through the second game and obsessed about it the rest of the game. By the end of the second game, the nail was a goner. =( And it was cute and painted and everything!!

I agree, cute clutch. The only problem I’ve had w/ purses with short handles is you can’t hang them on the back of your chair at restaurants. So mine end up on the floor, dirty and kicked. I hope your purses aren’t treated the same way! P.S. Sorry about your nail. Ouch.
