Have you read about the delay in the release of Little Big Planet, the new video game where users can create and share (and compete in) their happy global worlds together?
The controversy stems from a Toumani Diabete (the Malian cora player) song called “Tapha Niang,” which supposedly contains two lines from the Qu’aurn and has been called offensive by some Muslims. I believe Toumani is a Muslim as well (90% of Malians are Muslim). The music plays quietly in the background of one of the Savannah Scenes in Little Big Planet.
